Wa.a.e.ij.y.enberg

There are several families in The Netherlands with the name Waaijenberg, Waijenberg or Weijenberg. The name seems to have been widespread in the province of Gelderland.
In other provinces the name can be found too, e.g. in Limburg and Noord-Brabant. All the different spellings are found in Gelderland; in Limburg and Noord-Brabant the spelling with one A (Waijenberg) is dominant.

So far I have been able to connect everyone in the past and present with these names to a Family-tree (in Dutch this is called a "stamboom").
I have found that for the province of Gelderland alone, there are eight different familie-trees that can be constructed.
Every one of these family-trees stand alone, i.e. there are no connections between the people at the bases of the trees.
I have not done any research in Limburg and Noord-Brabant.

Nine different families

I am a descendant of Gerrit Aelberts. He lived outside Empe, which was and still is a very small town in Gelderland.

From the branch of this family-tree that starts with Willem comes Nelis Anthonie. His son Gerrit emigrated to Grande Prairie (Alberta) in 1956.

From the branch that starts with Johan comes Marinus Anthonie. He emigrated to the USA near the end of (or after) the First World War; his descendants can be found in Michigan.

Gerrit Peters from Nijbroek

From the branch of this family-tree that starts with Willem comes Teunis Gerrit. He and/or his son Gerald emigrated to Australia after WW2.

From this family-tree an Albertus emigrated to Australia.
His brother Marinus Frederik went to Canada (British Columbia).
